TOP AWARDS FOR AGE CONCERN LIVERPOOL STAFF

In a city where international luxury retailers have flagship stores, shoppers may be surprised to learn that it was Paula Gilderdale, an insurance adviser, at the Age Concern Liverpool insurance office in Sir Thomas Street who scored top marks in the latest city centre mystery shopping Store of the Year review.  Paula’s focus on the customer experience was rewarded with a 100% satisfaction rating which was the highest in the city.

At the 2009 iCare Awards Linda Billingsley, a nurse at St Michael’s care homes, one of two homes operated by the charity in the city, was presented with the title of the Outstanding Support Worker of the Year.  The awards, sponsored by JET Services and the 800 Group of seven local charities, reward excellence in health and social care.

In the autumn Joan Swift a Personal Health Trainer in the scheme managed by Age Concern Liverpool and PSS, received a Duncan Memorial Medal Award for her work in promoting healthy lifestyles in the communities of Everton and Kirkdale.

Says Dil Daly, Age Concern Liverpool’s chief executive:
“We are delighted that members of the Age Concern Liverpool team have been rewarded for their care and attention to detail – everyone here enjoys and celebrates their success.”
