We raise our own funds and make our own policy, while remaining part of Age Concern, the federation, working as equal partners with other Age Concern Organisations throughout the country.
Our mission is to:
Improve the quality of life of older people in Liverpool.
This is achieved by:
- Providing direct services for older people
- Campaigning with and advocating on behalf of older people
- Supporting the development of older peoples organisations
We aim in everything we do, to:
- ensure that older people have real choices;
- enable older people to remain active and healthy and to enjoy life;
- involve older people in the running of all our activities;
- ensure that older people's contribution to the community and the City is widely recognised and fully realised;
- combat ageism and the marginalisation of older people;
- innovate and promote good practice;
- develop partnerships with other bodies where feasible and desirable.
