Information & Advice Service

Information and expert advice on a wide range of issues is available on-tap at Age Concern Liverpool. It’s always confidential, it’s free and we are independent of any statutory agency. Our advisors are all highly trained and experienced in dealing with older people’s issues and there’s always someone knowledgeable to talk to here. We can help you access free legal advice too as well as the benefits of a will writing service at a reasonable cost.

Our wealth of experience in supporting older people - responding to their needs and the needs of their carers - means that our friendly advisors can offer vital assistance at every stage, from initial identification of needs through to applications for benefits, even representation at tribunals, which ensures that benefits and services are accessed effectively for older people.

Older people and carers can get information in a number of ways:

  • via our home visiting service
  • drop-in and appointments at Sir Thomas Street
  • telephone advice line
  • letter
  • e-mail.

To spread the word even wider, the Information and Advice service team also takes part in numerous health and awareness events, distributing a wide range of leaflets, booklets and fact sheets.
